Hi. I own a W3V and as some of you may know it has a low volume problem. I am looking for quality but inexpenise amplified headphones (or noise cancelling ones if they will be loud enough). Wireless or Bluetooth headphones would be cool, but not necessary. My main concern is volume, thats why I am leaning towards amplified headphones. I just need a nice set for traveling.

    Any suggestions?

If you have the money, check out Shure earphones.

If not, then Sennheiser is next.

The 'inside ear canal' earphones are what you're looking for.

I purchased a set of SONY MDR-EX71SL, and I'm waiting it to be delievered. I'll try to, if I remember, to post back after recieving them :)

I have the Shure e3c and they absolutely fantastic, best set of headphones I've ever used, without a battery powered noise cancellation system. They run $110 or so though...

Yea, I was looking at the e3c's.

The e4c's, or was it the e5c's, I forget, but their precitag runs about, $500~ or so :p

    So I stayed with the $17.99 MDR-EX71SL's :D

I've got some Maxell noice cancelling headphones that I am extremely happy with. They run about $30, depending on where you buy them. I got mine at a Walmart. They are very comfortable, they sound great, and are affordable.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by amplified, maybe you could look at their product info page for this model and see if they fit your needs.

They are the best sounding headphones I've ever used, not that I have used a huge amount. They are also so comfortable. I am somewhat afraid to buy any other headphones because I doubt I will be as pleased.

By amplified I mean that they have their own amplifier. Some headphones have an independent volume control and amplifier that can compensate for a weak amplifier in the audio source.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll check them out.
