    Any backpacks that can fit 17" notebook with 9-Cell Battery?

    I have a Gatewat P-172X FX, it's 17" and measures 15.75"(L) x 11.75"(W) x 1.7"(H). The 9-Cell makes the notebook sticking out by 1.25 inch so the (W)idth is now 13". I can't find any backpack that has a notebook conpartment fits 13" in (W)idth. Anyone can help? thx

    Also, are there any waterpoof notebook backpacks? Mobile Edge has water resist on most of their backpacks but water resist can resist water for so long. I want my notebook protected in a rainy day.

    Wold it be better to carry a 20lb. notebook suitcase w/ shoulder strap? will it be too heavy over a long period of time?

    I have my P-6860FX with the same battery in a SwissGear Ibex backpack that I purchased from Bestbuy, it fits fine. I do not however know if the backpack is waterproof. I hope this helps. God Bless :)

    Not knowing where you're from (UK/USA etc), means it's pretty pointless linking to specific products on websites.

    But I know for a fact the Targus XL Notebook Backpack is suitable for a 17" Dell XPS M1730 with a 9 cell battery.
    The Trust BG-4700p is apparently a 17.4" Notebook Backpack?
    And the Wenger/Swissgear 'Pegasus' is a 17" Laptop Back Pack ;)
