ive been on the hunt for some mousepad that's ultra slick. Ultra as in I may as well use a block of ice that never melts as my mousepad. I know some people like some texture or some grit but I just can't find a mousepad that's super slick. They used to do glass ones but nobody makes those anymore. I did pick up a frosted glass one off eBay but it actually felt more rough than a plastic one. Anyway, what do you guys recommend for an ultra smooth surface where your mouse can fly off just by blowing on it (exaggeration of course)?

Keep in mind that mouse glide happens between two components. Your mouse feet material is just as important.
Smooth != low friction. Some fine texture is actually needed to keep the friction level low, especially when the other surface (feet) is soft and smooth. Otherwise the two surfaces can bond easily.Last edited: Mar 30, 2017 -
Get a Teflon sheet, cut it to size and then replace your mouse feet with small stainless steel inserts. That is a really smooth glide.
Only reason I know this is because I recently had to install a teflon/stainless steel bearing on some equipment I am in charge of at work. And I thought it was neat.

Teflon's great for that sort of thing, if you can get a sheet of it.

The cheaper and easier shortcut is silicone spray.
Spray that **** on your plastic hard mousemat and then youre most likely set.
My friend had that setup and his mouse was sliding as if it was an airhockey table -

Any mouse pads with near zero friction?
