    Hmm...not too sure about the Toshiba. The WD Passport is a very popular model, and should serve you well.

    The Toshiba one is only new out I think. Its got NTI backup software preloaded, I was looking it up and it sounds pretty useful. Was opting towards the WD passport but I recently used my friends one to back up my data when I had to restore my laptop to factory settings and I lost most of my movies somewhere along the way.

    There are plenty (and some free!) backup utilities that will perform better than ANY included-softwares...

    But WD is more expensive per size. .. which means you 'll pay much more for same size when buying WD.

    Oh but but .. the Build quality is Superb, & the harddisk is well-cushioned & cooled.
