I have a 17 inch laptop, this will probably be the bag I buy:
Amazon.com: Case Logic VNC-218 18-Inch Laptop Case (Black): Electronics
Now I'm looking for a cooler that I can use on bed, the couch, or anywhere...and obviously, is good. Any suggestions? I was thinking this:
http://www.amazon.com/Targus-Chill-AWE55US-Black-Gray/dp/B002NU5O9C/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
What do you think?

Targus is reviewed poorly and some are known to have lead in them. One of the stickies on the laptop cooler part of this forum can explain more.

DO NOT GET TARGUS
If you plan to work with it in your lap
-Cooler Master SF-19 (USB 2/3)
-Cooler Master X3 (USB 2) -
Could you guys perhaps recommend anything a bit cheaper? And would those coolmaster feel comfortable if you're laying down on a couch or your bed?
-
The X3 would be slightly less comfortable, but it will still work on your lap -
Have you read the buyer's guide here on NBR? There's a lot of good info in there.

I did read them, I'm just not sure how comfortable those recommendations are nor if they'd support a 17.3" laptop. This one didn't look bad:
Newegg.com - Cooler Master NotePal LapAir Notebook Cooler, support up to 17" Model R9-NBC-LPAR-GP
The cooling on this one is iffy, but it looks super comfortable:
Newegg.com - LapGear CoolSurf LapDesk - Fits Laptop Sizes up to 17.3" Model 45403
Wish I could find a blend between the two in the $40 range... -
Any recommendations on coolers for 17" laptops?
