Universal Docking Station with Video sd300v - K33930US - Kensington

Looks to be quite interesting as everything (including video output) is connected through a single USB. Just think USB 2.0 might be a little slow if things got busy (like BD/DVD playback or gaming).

They also make one with a 10/100 Ethernet included. Might try it if I can find a good price. Was just curious if any already had.

I wouldn't get one if I were you. The fact that it's USB 2.0 (3.0 would be interesting) and that the ethernet isn't even gigabit is a disappointment.

It's been a while since I had a DisplayLink interface (and dismissed them as a waste of time) but it seems that this latest iteration still doesn't have video acceleration - which is not surprising as almost all DisplayLink implementation is in software via a virtual GPU.

What that means is that while yes, USB 2.0 is a hobbler, you've also got other factors which will slow your computing experience down. Think of it like the equivalent of sticking a mid-1990's video card into your machine.
