    Hello!!!! The brand is a "Sonic Impact SI-5 Portable Speakers" Gen. 1 for use w/CD, DVD & MP3 Players, Games Consoles & Laptops. Flat panel, multi-media type w/high efficiency amp (still in the plastic)!!!! Someone gave this to me a year or so ago. I was going thru a storage box tonight and found it. (I think I was going to use them w/an old Phillips MP3 player to listen to at work at some point).

    If any of you have used this - would you recommend using these as speakers for possibly your notebook? (I just got my Xmas Bonus at work today and will be able to make my purchase shortly :D ) And, was thinking maybe they might work w/the notebook purchase as extra speakers, or maybe not. I'm thinking these were fairly inexpensive. If not, I will probably just recycle them to someone else.....
