Looking for a backpack that will hold the sager 9280. I love this beast but it barely fits in my Kensington backpack. Anyone out there that has this machine and a backpack to go with it? Also, it needs to be of some quality. All the ones I have seen at BB so far have been garbage. The straps are sewn into thin material right at the shoulders instead of the bag. This notebook would rip those things right out.

The Targus XL should handle all your needs. Even though it's sold as a 17" backpack, it fit's my 18.4" HP just fine. Still, it's not a heavy duty backpack which you can find out if you read my review on it.

The biggest problem with this backpack is it's size. It's so daunting that it temps you to put in more stuff than it is designed to carry. And since I've weighed in mine at just under 45 pounds, the shoulder seams are beginning to show signs of wear. Just don't stuff it like I do, and you shouldn't have a problem. It's a good backpack for the price.

On the other hand, as you've pointed out, there's still a need for manufacturers to do a much better job when it comes to backpack comfort and convenience. If any of them are listening, I'll offer some free advice: Make them expandable!

p.s. I also have a Case Logic messenger bag but it too suffer from same shoulder 'numbmification' due to the weight of a desktop replacement. You won't go long with just the laptop and converter before the circulation in your shoulder is cut off and you feels like it's in a vice grip. That especially apparent considering it's carried on one shoulder.

Looking for a backpack not a shoulder bag. I like the feel of a backpack. Easier to carry other stuff with it.

    Hey guys,

I thought it'd be better to revive an old thread than start a new one. I am going to need to buy a backpack as well for the 9280. Are there no other options besides the Targus XL???

The Targus XL is the only cheap option I could find for my Acer Aspire 8940G. It fits great, and is built fairly good. I'm going to have my friends mom throw a few more stitches in where the straps attach so I can really load it up. But for the price its the best I've seen that can fit a 18.4" notebook.

Thanks for the comment about the targus. As much as I have spent for this clevo, I am not really interested in the best of the cheapos. I just want a solid bag that I can depend on, but not over 200. If possible I would lke to carry the laptop, power supply, korg nanokey, korg padkontrol, emu 0404usb, various cables, and maybe even a book or two. I need to be able to carry this load 5 days a week, every week.

You could check out the Swissgear Pegasus or Ibex. Would be a tight fit, but they are great backpacks.

Check out Slappa.com - they have some nice stuff. I had the Slappa Velocity Matrix and liked it a lot. It did however rip slightly when I overloaded it. Nice thing is that they took care of me. I should be getting in the new MASK backpack this week and will report back on how well it fits my G73. Another option would be astrogaming.com - guy got one for his G73 here on the site and LOVES it. It was one I considered as well.

Hey those swissgear's did look pretty nice! But I looked hard at all the pictures to try and visualize if it would be big enough, and I don't think it would. Man if I lived in the us and could return things easily, I think I'd give it a shot.

I checked out slappa and they quoted me a shipping fee equal to the price of the bag!!! So that isn't an option. That gaming site bag looked interesting, but seems it's specifically designed for an xbox 360.

My friend uses the Pegasus for his D901C. I tried out the Ibex in-store and it was kind of a tight fit, but would definitely work. I'd buy one if I had the cash. For now I'll stick with my Targus TCB001EU.
