I have worn a friend's pair shaped just like that, but I can't remember the model. In any case, it was almost unbearably uncomfortable. It ravaged the tops of my ears for days afterwards. I would not recommend any headsets shaped like that.

I use the Creative Fatal1ty headset.

a friend of mine once owned one, i tried it and hated the thing. downright painful to wear, ho-hum sound quality, and the headset isn't fully closed - you hear loads of other stuff besides what's coming from the headset itself due to the gaps around the speakers.

    I have that exact headset.

The sound quality leaves something to be desired, namely low frequencies. There's virtually no bass. The microphone is actually pretty good quality, though. People say they hear me very clearly through voice programs like Skype and Ventrilo, as well as in-game voice chat in games like CoD4 and Left 4 Dead.

The mic is good, but the sound quality is pretty poor. It's good enough to get by in gaming, but not good enough for enjoying music or movies. Honestly, this is the first Logitech product I can say I'm disappointed with, and I have a long history of Logitech products.

I'm not sure about you, Batman_360 and whizzo, but I actually find them to be very comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

I'm holding out until next month when they release the G35 7.1 surround sound headset.

In the meantime, I just use the mic from this headset and do the actual listening through my Logitech Z-2300 speakers. :D

I was kinda looking for a cheap pair. I already have a 2 5.1 systems in my room (one for tv one for computer). I dont exactly need headphones, i just wanted a mic. I will probably just have them around my neck and not on my ears.

In that case, the headset will be great. That's exactly what I do. :D

I keep the headset around my neck with only the mic plugged in and the sound output through my 2.1 speakers. It works pretty well, the mic does a good job of filtering the excess noise.
