I have a Dell notebook with Truelife and it's extremely hard to see the display outdoors, even on the brightest setting. Does anyone know of a shade, cover or film I could add that would help? Any other ideas?

It's possible that certain screen protectors have anti-glare coating. I have seen screen covers for desktop monitors that have it. You might do a search for it.
