    Hi..
i saw this posted before, but the thread went off the point before i could actually get an answer out of it, so i thought i'd post a new one.
quite simply, does the wireless apple mighty mouse work on a windows XP laptop? not a mac running bootcamp or anything, just a simple sony laptop running XP. ive heard mixed responses to this, so i thought i'd ask n see if i get any positive help. the apple site states that its only for Mac, while many others online have posted that it does work on XP, but the sideways/diagonal scrolling doesnt work, nor do the side push buttons. i can live without these two features, as long as the mouse works with both clicks, and vertical scrolling works on the scroll ball. can everyone who reads this confrim this? thanks so much.

another question: ive also heard mixed reviews on the mighty mouse itself. i was under the impression that its one of the best wireless mice out at the moment, but lot of people have disagreed. can anyone comment on any other wireless mice that are considered really good? thanks again! but the first point is wat im looking for, please respond on that first! thanks!

thanks for that..anyone else, please post here too, if u got something to add, positive or negative!
EDIT: and i will consider the logitech, even though (sorry if this is unprofessional ;p) the mighty mouse's cool look is very appealing to me!

Yeah, the mighty mouse is supposed to be pretty mediocre.
The scroll wheel sort of stops working properly after some time.

Interestingly I know remember my friend had a apple "mighty" mouse and one warning is that the thing eats through 2-4 sets of battery a week. That was after a couple months then we graduated and we talk online. I asked him last night how the mouse is. He said that it lacks comfort for the weight. If it had been better shaped the weight wouldnt matter but he becomes tired and often ends up using touchpad instead. He said "If I didnt love macs I would never have bought the mouse".

    Hi Guys

Have you consired using a mogo mouse instead, I have a fujitsu s6410 lifebook and this mouse fits insde my pcmia card slot, where it recharges is ready for use. As a mouse to use on the go its hard to beat

The only thing thats missing is a scroll wheel, but they do provide a software alternative

Here is a link,HP also sold the bt mouse under their badge and they can be bought quite cheap on ebay.

i bought the wireless mighty mouse today...got quite a scare when it detected my device but didnt work...thankfully i read a thread where someone advised me to enter 0000 as the bluetooth key...its laser is very sensitive, very good response...works on my bed, on my wooden desk, on my jeans even..and still remains smooth...i'll keep u posted on the quality of the product, as thats wat most people have complained about (scroll ball breaking etc).thanks for the posts

also...can anyone tell me how to make my computer autoconnect to it? coz each time i reboot, or turn my mouse off and back on, it disconnects and doesnt auto connect...i need to manually add a new device, which takes about 10secs but is still a pain
