Just wondering if anyone knew if the wired apple keyboard would work on a windows based computer? Has anyone already tried this?

I might let it go for $40 shipped.
The part that sucks is I didn't even want them damned thing. I had just got my Mini and iPhone. I wanted to crack the iPhone and needed a keyboard for the Mini. I was at the Apple store where they had nothing else for less. I went over to Best Buy where they also had no keyboards for less that worked with a Mac. So I had to pony up the the $50+ for it. -
Can't you use any PC keyboard with the Mac Mini?
I thought it was the "switcher" machine, you know... use your existing keyboard, mouse, monitor.
Edit: Sorry... didn't mean to steer this thread off topic. -
I wanted a keyboard quickly that worked on a Mac. I live in a small town. My choices for purchasing a USB keyboard locally are Radio Shack and Radio Shack. The one USB keyboard Radio Shack had didn't work with my machine and was like $30 for a POS. I happened to be in the big town to go to the Apple Store to exchange my phone. I didn't know you needed an appointment at the Genius Bar so I showed up at 8:00PM. I almost didn't get in, but I can be very charming. I didn't have much time after twisting Apple's arm at the store as I didn't know I'd have to wait that long. When I finished up there at 8:30 I went over to Best Buy. They only had desktop sets which I didn't need and the only desktop sets with the Mac logo were over $100. Since I live some distance from Best Buy, I didn't want to get something I was unsure would work. Returning it would have cost a major pain, and costly given the gas and time involved in returning. The cheapest option at the time was to get the Mac keyboard. I even stopped at Wal-Mark on the way down, but they had nothing that looked like it might work either.
Should I have researched my purchase more thoroughly or just waited the week to get a Mac compatible keyboard? Perhaps, but I was hot to crack my iPhone and given the particulars of my situation, it was the cheapest option I had that I knew would work. That however does not change the fact while it looks nice it's not a very good keyboard which is more important to me. -
The Apple keyboard is a POS. I can't type past 130wpm on it, while I can type 150wpm+ on my Thinkpad's keyboard. Tactile feedback sucks especially.
Biggest waste of money on a keyboard ever. Thank God it's not the keyboard I use regularly.
