ya, they have the GXM-A version and the original (older version with THX). All three links are for the promedia 2.1 (non GMX-A). The speaker grill are off in some pictures.

I don't quite understand you. Where did you buy it? I don't want to sound rude, but like to help you. All I know for that particular model, there is only one. If it says THX on the sub, it has THX. Unless you didn't receive the sub, or it is not the 2.1 version. From the links you have posted, the only "real" difference between the pictures is that in one link the speakers have the speaker cover (grill) on it and the other doesn't. If this is wrong, please provide more information.

I agree with mythless....I have a Promedia 2.1 set, which are THX...great, great sounding speakers.

Let us know...I am also a bit confused.

Sorry for confusion I think my English is not clear. I think mythless is correct. My speakers got speaker cover (grill). I thought speakers with grill and the speakers without grill are different.

Now I understood that they are same.

    Thanks guys.

Those are the same models. They may look a bit different in real life because of pain discrepancies or because the boxes have changed looks.

They are probably one of the best speakers you can get for your computer, for a reasonable price.

I used to have these speakers years ago. AWESOME speakers and very nice sub. I paid about $200 when they first came out and they were worth every penny. At $111 on amazon it's a steal....I'm tempted to buy some even though i have absolutely no use for them. BTW, these are far better than the GMX version. Great choice.

I bought them from amazon. They sound great. But bass makes boomy sound when listening melody type songs.

Wondering why the one is much better than the GMX model. I would like to buy but not sure which way to go. I thought since the GMX started production later than the thx model that the GMX would be a tad better with newer tech etc.

Does anyone know if these speakers make that stupid buzz noise that some speakers make with Cingular cell phones? I'm looking for a new set of speakers that are properly shielded against that signal b/c I just can't take that noise anymore, so much so that my external speakers have been unplugged for about two months (they are Altec Lansing). Anyway sorry for the quick rant but if anyone knows of some good ones that don't make that noise please let me know!!
