Hello everybody. If anyone's seen me around, they know I have an ASUS G1S-A1, because I like to mention it. :p However, I am now searching for my latest accessory: an effective cooling pad.

I read in the Asus forum that the cooling of the Zalman NC1000 (which from what I gather is the NBR community's favorite cooling pad) is not very effective, for some reason or another regarding vent placement.

Thanks to Sypher and Krugen for having the first part of this conversation for me, referencing this previous conversation:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/show...ght=zalmon+g1s
...and also for offering this alternative:
    http://www.thermaltake.com/product/C...01/R14PF01.asp

Not only does that product look positively kickass, but Sypher and Krugen agreed that it would match the G1S's cooling needs better than a Zalman NC1000.

Now that I'm asking this question in the Accessories forum rather than the Asus forum, where replies were rather limited, does anyone know an effective cooling pad for the Asus G1S? Is the Thermaltake a good option? Because I sure as heck know it's awesome looking.

The NC 2000 would be the better option, as it is bigger and 15.4'' will fit properly on it. I also know that the NotePal Infinite works well with it, as my friend had one for his G1S.

The NC2000 is indeed a good option to consider. Quite a few recommend it.
