I currently just replaced my Asus VS238H-P with an Asus VS248H. My main reasons were because the VS had a stuck red pixel and I wanted centered speakers for when watching videos. The extra screen inch and higher contrast ratio were also a plus. I used to hook up my old monitor to my Xbox 360 via VGA and my Laptop (Clevo P150EM) via DVI. With the VX I just received, the only difference is I will be using HDMI for my laptop.
I've run into two problems with the new monitor. One is it needs to be replaced already (just got it) due to a stuck red pixel again. The other is I cannot seem to find a preset/setting to get the best picture between both Xbox gaming and Desktop use for my laptop. I have yet to even try gaming on my laptop with it. But before with the 23" VS I could just use the unaltered standard preset and had no issues with scenes being too dark or hard to see and it worked for both inputs. Now, I cannot seem to find a balance between not washing out light grays and blues and it being too dark on my xbox. Because of this, I'm not sure if I should replace with the other monitor I was thinking of getting which was the BenQ RL2455HM.
Here are the monitors:

What do you recommend I should do?

Or should I go IPS? I was worried about 27" monitors but this one I found seems to be really good. The only loss being that I'd go from 1ms response to 5ms response.
