I just got the zalman nc200 cooler for my g50vt a1
I want to know the best way to place my laptop on the cooler so I can get the maximum effect

should I put the laptop towards the bottom of the cooler more or towards the top?

should I use the built in stands if the cooler on the bottom or not?

Use the built in stands, not required but puts less stress on the fans even if the airflow doesnt increase that much.

The G50 fits inbetween the rubber as you know. I push myne all the way up and to the right to put the gpu vent in a good spot. With the bottom on this should put the vents in the 99% coverage range. With the bottom off the fan is partially, slightly above the zalmans vents.

Check out my review for measurements and a photo of the bottom panel layed overtop of the zalman.
