So - I hadn't noticed, until it was pointed out for me, that the main zip was quite seriously frayed on my remaining Axio, the Urban. I've booked it in to have it looked at for repair by a third party but on the chance it's not repairable, since the rest of the bag - especially the shell - is looking a little tired anyway I figured I might as well replace it.

I already have a 'swallow everything' backpack, so I'm looking for something with as relatively sleek a profile as the Axio hardpacks able to accomodate up to a 17-inch MBP. A little more depth wouldn't hurt, to be able to lug an M6500 around without fighting with the zips for example but it's not mandatory - it's highly unlikely I'll be carrying a 17-incher when I have this sort of bag with me.

Suggestions please. If no good ones I'm buying another Axio - but I would like a change. No particular budget. Those of you familiar with my purseblog-leaning tendencies may know that actually means what I say.

I had it repaired, and the shop did a really crappy job - I refused to accept it, they won't give me the bag until I've paid, so the bag is with them - whatever they want to do with it.

If they knew it was going to look that bad they shouldn't have agreed to the repair in the first place.

    Anyhoo - suggestions, as above?

Since you had an Axio, can I assume you use it on a motorcycle? If so, check out these moto specific packs. Virtually rain proof, super durable, feels great on a bike. http://www.kriega.com/
