Hi I just pre-ordered an asus c90 and it comes with the azalia audio chip. I was planning to buy the logitech z2300 but am cautious because alot of people in the reviews complained about the quality of it without a good sound card. People complained about the ac97 but no mention of the azalia. So anyone with the laptop azalia audio chip tell me if it works well with logitech z2300 or in general anyone with a fancy audio system. I want to know if buying any good speakers with that chip is worth it?

I was actually wondering the same thing myself. I have a 5.1 (7.1) System, and I would like to have good sound with it. So I'm hoping someone can test this with either the c90 when they purchase it, and see how it sounds on regular computer speakers and a 5.1 system. Or, if anyone has had the Azalia sound card in any other notebook and has information on that, please post.

Don't know how the Xf-I compares to it, but I guess it sounds like it will work fine with my 5.1 :) - I hope.

So, the answer to your question. Seems to be definitely worth it!
