I am looking for a new backpack for a 13.3" Asus. I want the backpack to be somewhat small and not look like a big "Look! I have a laptop in here!" sign. Simple, professional, and functional are what I'm looking for.

I need the bag to hold the laptop, a spiral-bound notebook or two, maybe a textbook every now and then, and random things like charger, sunglasses, and cellphone.

Which would be the better bag? The Brenthaven can lay flat for airport screening, but I don't fly very often (maybe 3-4 times a year). The BBP bag does not have much padding on the bottom of the bag and does not come with the choice of a bright-colored inside lining to make cables stand out better.

The BBP bag notes that padded adapters are provided for those who have smaller notebooks. Does this padding extend to the bottom of the bag?

The Brenthaven bag was $65 on Amazon, but just went back up to $81.47. The BBP bag is pretty much exactly the same price.

Since it does not seem like these bags are sold in retail stores, there is no way for me to actually compare them in person. Which should I choose?

The Level 8 Atlas also got great reviews so also looking into that one. Saw it at the Apple Store and it looked very decent.
