Hey guys,
I am starting work soon and I need a decent portable Bluetooth mouse that isn't too tiny. Just something solid and reasonably priced, button's on the side would be cool but not necessary.
But my main question is: Can I buy a bluetooth adapter and connect it to multiple devices at the same time without interference? For example I'd like to use my mouse, keyboard, headphones, and connect to my phone at the same time if possible. I know I could just use the adapter that comes with the mouse/keyboard, but if I can consolidate all of that into one adapter.. that would be cool. If this is possible what adapter should I get?
thanks

@prm0008 first of all, Bluetooth mice are just bad, any of them - and usually small. Also, Bluetooth is battery-hog. I personally use Bluetooth audio receiver (ADP) simultaneously with transferring photos from my phone using Bluetooth 4.0 7260AC network card inside my laptop, and it works OK. Will adding mouse and keyboard result in bandwidth problem? I am not sure, but even if don't, Bluetooth mouse is never a good idea.
I ordered this Bluetooth 4.0 adapter to try making a DIY Bluetooth 4.0 audio receiver, but it didn't come yet so I have nothing to say about its quality. What device are you using? It may have a high-quality Bluetooth 4.0 or above adapter built-in. -
@Starlight5 I'm using a lenovo t420. It does not have built in Bluetooth adapter. I just replaced the wifi adapter and I could have bought one with bluetooth capability in it --but I didn't want it to interfere with my wifi whatsoever which I have heard happens sometimes. Also, I just assume bluetooth adapters connected via usb are faster anyway.
But surely there HAS to be a BT mouse that will work pretty well, right? I feel like I see people using them all the time.
I'm just conflicted as to what adapter I should get. There a so many. I just want strong multi-capable connections. -

@prm0008 there will always be interference in 2.4GHz spectrum because it's extremely crowded, but in practice it usually affects wi-fi range and stability. The only possible problem I see in your setup is using mouse and headphones over Bluetooth simultaneously, but most likely it will be OK. Make sure you get Bluetooth 4.0 mouse and Bluetooth 4.0 dongle, if you decide to go that way. Also, for your notebook there is a built-in adapter available, which goes in a separate slot under palmrest - but it is only Bluetooth 3.0, so I won't recommend it.
