Hey, I looked in the bag sticky but I was wondering if I could get a bit of help. I just bought an xps m1530, and need a bag for it for university. The thing is I've had a badly injured neck for the past 3 years, and I need one that is built strong, with lots of padding, good zippers, padding for the laptop, and will stand up to a few years use hopefully.

I looked on amazon but I live in Canada and they don't ship any of the bags to Canada. I've visited staples a couple times and they just don't seem like the bags are very durable. It would be nice if I could see the bag in person but if it's a very good company I would probably buy online, and if it will cost a hundred dollars or more (within reason not $300) I would be ok with it.

Thanks a lot for any help,
    Neil

Consider the Kensington Contour backpack. Both ncix.com and FutureShop carry these bags.

Have a look at Heys' ePac15 line of notebook backpacks. I myself have the ePac17 for my 17" Sager and I really recommend it.

Heys is a Canadian company and as far as I know they only ship these backpacks to Canada (so that's okay since you live in Canada).

Have a look at their website for dimensions, features and all the information. They're also a pretty reasonable price (60$)!

The quality seems great to me. My backpack still looks great and everything is holding up fine. There's plenty of padding on the back of it and on the straps, so even carrying my 17" notebook isn't all that painful. The zippers are pretty big and seem durable enough, all mine are still in one piece. The notebook compartment is on the side and has a lot of padding, so your notebook should be safe. The backpack seems like it'll last a few years no problem, and it does come with a 10 year warranty.
Have a look at this topic for pictures and a discussion on how much my ePac17 can hold.

Hey, thanks for the help, I just went to futureshop and picked up the kensington contour backpack.

I got the heys epac 15, and it seemed like a really good bag, even with a ten year warranty, but it just seemed like it might be good with really heavy loads, I'm not sure about the 17 inch though tis probably better.

i have a Wenger SwissGear padded 15.4' laptop backpack that i picked up from Costco for $40. ITs very good quality as SwissGear is known to produce top quality products which last a long time. It has lots of room for books/even an extra 15.4 inch laptop if you wanted as well.

    try checking costco
