I don't intend to move it around very often due to the sheer weight of the thing but does anyone know of a good backpack for an Asus G750?

    Many thanks :))

my husband recently bought an Asus G750 and I plan to get him a proper sleeve or bag or backpack for his birthday. Any advice would be very welcome!

Which is a rebranded Targus (not the XL) and, ironically, doesn't fit the ROG 17-inchers very well. ;)

It's a tighter squeeze than what I'm comfortable with LOL. I sold mine and got a Targus XL. Bigger laptop compartment, more storage, and just a better bag in general.

I have the Euro version of the XL which appears to have a different pocket design but is the same at the back interface, and I must say I'm starting to have have concerns about the straps. Now I almost never use it, but I can see the thread becoming exposed beneath the straps. I've looked at reviews and there are a few actual failures documented by unhappy users. If I can see the start of a separation with virtually zero use (and I stress again that this pack gets used maybe twice a year if that) then there might be an issue. Either way the strap design isn't conducive to comfortably carry of really heavy loads.

Depends on the budget, but if OP is looking for something a bit more tasteful looking, the Mission Workshop VX Fitzroy (or even the larger Vandal) is worth a look - It's one of my slightly more used backpacks and I think the style is contemporary, design is decent as is construction with no really obvious build issues. What I use far more often are some of the Cote Et Ciel backpacks, but none of them will accommodate a hulking machine like that without a struggle.

I have my G750 in a Voodoo Tactical backpack/briefcase. Looks cool and protects my G750 laptop! I added some MOLLE pouches on the front panels for laptop charger and headset. Fits my gaming mouse pad without getting in the way. Best laptop case (backpack/briefcase) for the G750. Highly recommend: http://www.amazon.com/Voodoo-Tactical-17inch-Laptop-Pack/dp/B00505K3M0
