The title pretty much sums it up. I am looking for a backpack that can store a D900c ( 17" huge notebook ) and my accessories like the Zalman NC-1000 Notebook cooler, Metal mouse pad, external hard drive and wires/ various other items.

I'd prefer that everything be able to fit as I tend to travel a lot and would love to be able to have everything in one backpack. I do realize how insane it makes me that I chose the least portable notebook for my college needs, but it really isn't that big of a problem minus all the accessories I have for it.

My main interest has been a Targus XL backpack I found at best buy, not sure the exact model but it was huge and about $90. If anyone has any feedback about that backpack or recommendations for another kind, I am all ears.

I had a had time finding a backpack, which would fit my Voodoo U709, which is the D900K, which is actually larger than the D900C by a little in the height dimension.

I could not find any backpack, or laptop carry bag which would fit the laptop, its homemade steel -foam lined notebook sleeve and the massive power brick.

What I did, was I looked in Military supply stores. I found my laptop backpack in an Army Surplus store in New Hampshire. It is made of heavy canvas, which is lined with rubber to keep out water, it is heavily padded and has huge clips instead of zippers, for ultimate durability. Since this bag, was designed to last and it was made in the USA, and certified for the military I bought it. Yeah, its not stylish, but it was the best damn backpack one could get for $35.

By no means is it a bad bag, I have had it for a year now, and there are no signs of wear.

Basically check out military supply stores, they have really durable large backpacks, for relatively cheap prices.

    I'd suggest a Heys ePac.
I own a Heys ePac17 for my 17" Sager and I really recommend it.

Have a look at this topic for pictures of my backpack loaded with books.

Note that I was told they only ship in Canada. So if you live in the U.S. you're out of luck for this bag.

That's what I would recommend but I have heard good things about Targus, so if you really like what you saw then go for it.
