To start off, a Futureshop employee convinced me to take home this Targus (RGS011C) Laptop Backpack, and I've tested it out and it isn't quite up to snuff. It's meant to hold a standard notebook (not widescreen), so the notebook sticks up about an inch or so. I might have just kept it, had it not been for another requirement... I carry a lunch to Uni every day, as the food sold there is waaaay to expensive. I'm there most of the day as well, and I can't bring part-meals... Basically half a day's worth of food must be carried, as well as a binder, a notepad, and the odd work book/text book.
Can anyone recommend a spacious laptop backpack without a surplus of useless small compartments (I don't need a freaking pen compartment, and I haven't had a cd walkman since... a long time...) but rather I need a case for the laptop, and one or two fairly sizable compartments. Some of the 17" backpacks seem to fit the bill, but I'm not sure they'd be good for a 15.4" widescreen.
Thanks![]()

Brenthaven offers a very nice laptop case that will protect your 15.4 inch laptop extremely well. I love brenthaven backpacks. They are worth the cost.

www.ebags.com is a great place to start looking.
Try www.chromebags.com, they have some really nice bags/satchels. Made of sail cloth, very good material. -
what happen when your laptop isnt a common brand and you can go only by size numbers? that sucks... mine: Dimension 13.98" (L) x 10.04" (D) x 1.18" (H)
