that has got to be the weirdest thing. I posted from tapatalk and all it posted was the header. let's try again: I have a 15" desktop replacement laptop (sager np8150) and I'm trying to get a backpack that is comfortable to move the laptop around in, along with a binder and some odds/ends like a tablet and a small pencil case. I was looking at the ogio squadron rss II or possibly the everki titan (even though the titan is designed for 17"). do you guys have any suggestions on a laptop bag for a college student?

I have a nice rebook backpack that has three pockets. But Doesn't actually end up looking too big. Has its own laptop spot too that you can secure in. It was only 50$

    Bag Make/Model - Booq Mamba Shift L
    [IMG]

    Price - $140.

    Pros -
    -Awesome slick design
    -Water resistant
    -Easy laptop access
    -Laptop compartment is comfortably padded
    -Loads of organization pockets
-Pretty slim regardless of what I'm packing
-Fits my laptop, books, 4x sandwiches, mouse, charger, external HDD, basically everything i need
    -Removable key clip
    -Strap pockets

    Cons
-It doesn't stand too well because of its shape
-The side pockets are too tight and small to fit even a small drink bottle. I use it to store my pens.
-The straps aren't as cushioned or comfortable as my Alienware Orion backpack

    Recommend?
OF COURSE! I thought the price was pretty high and i never thought i would purchase a bag of this price but I'm really glad i did. It was worth each penny. I just love how the bag looks and that all of my stuff has a place where it is neatly packed away. I love how my M14x just slips in easy, no straps or velcro to take care of just slip it in and zip the bag and you're sweet.

I was actually gonna do a review of the bag and a comparison with my Alienware Orion backpack. But I've just been really lazy recently. :D

I used this bag for my Alienware M14x. Of course its screen size is only at 14.1" but it's as large as a 15.6" laptop.
My Alienware Orion backpack was perfect for my Asus G73. Though it lacked the organizational pockets that the Astro Scout and Booq Mamba backpack have.

Maybe a regular jansport backpack with your laptop in some sort of a extra case? While it might be as flashy as the other options, it's cheaper and their packs are close to undestructible.

the laptop plus power brick (as well as headphones and mouse) would take up too much space. I already own an L.L.Bean messenger bag that has slightly more space than a standard school pack and I'm looking for a step up.

Probably going with an Ogio Renegade RSS. Called Ogio Tech support and they were concerned that the thickest part of my laptop would exceed what the RSS is designed for. The Everki Titan is a monster and probably too much bag for me... I intentionally avoided a large laptop this time... The Everki beacon is reported to loose a lot of internal storage when a large laptop is inserted so it probably isn't for me

    Thanks for the help, Guys!

Ever thought of getting a nice big backpack and then just a padded sleeve to go along with it? I'm thinking of getting a big "normal" backpack and a decent padded sleeve. That'll put me at about $60-$70 altogether. What's your price range?

From what I've read, it might also fit in a Tom Bihn Brain Bag. Despite the high price, I've heard nothing but good things about that bag.

I did end up getting the brain bag with brain cell. I'll try to get up pictures and detailed opinions over the next week. My first impressions are that if you have a large laptop (or two of them for that matter) that you need to carry on the go along with your books, this really is the easy to go. The fact that it's an amazing one bag flight bag is also a major bonus for college students. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I have read conflicting reports of the Sager 9150's height.
Reseller specifications detail it as 1.69 inches.
Reviews have detailed it at a bot more at 51mm (2 inches).

Which is the accurate number? Does one measurement include the feet while the other doesn't?
I have a bag in mind that says it will fit a 1.7 inch height so I want to know if this will work or not.
I live outside of the states (Kingston, Jamaica) so I don't have the luxury to buy first and then return later.
