    Backpack/messenger bag for 18.4" notebook

    I'll start by saying I know there's a number of backpack threads on here but after looking through many of them I've concluded that I don't like any of the info already presented. First issue is that most suggestions are for notebooks quite a bit smaller than my own and my second issue is that most of the suggestions are for backpacks loaded with pockets and storage areas.

    I'm looking for a simple, sleek, minimalistic backpack for my EON18.

    Height: 1.7 inches
    Width: 17.25 inches
    Depth: 11.75 inches
    Weight: 12.5 lbs

    I'm not worried about having a whole lot of storage. At most I'll have my notebook, AC adapter, mouse, pad of paper, and some pens.

    One pack I liked is the AXIO Hybrid XL. I don't know if it would end having enough room for my notebook but it gives you a good idea of what I'm looking for.

    I've also been considering the AlienWare pack but again I'm not sure if it will fit my 18.4" notebook.

    Any constructive suggestions are appreciated.


    EDIT: As a side note I should say that I want a quality backpack. I don't mind spending extra to get something that fits comfortably, has sufficient padding, and is of a sturdy build.

    The Case Logic and the Kelty look too cheap.

    Do we know if the AlienWare will fit an 18.4" notebook?

    Oh cool! I think those are the first interior dimensions I've seen for the Orion...

    I wonder if they have any of the other bags I've been looking at but unsure about fit.


    EDIT: Ohhhhh wait! Is that Mobile Edge a reproduction of the AlienWare Orion? Maybe its just the pictures but it looks slightly different.... maybe as if its lower quality.

    So anyone else have suggestions?

    I've exhausted all the options on eBags and I don't know if I've found the right bag that will have enough room for my laptop.

    Again its a 18.4" laptop with dimensions as follows:

    I'm gonna try giving this one last bump to see if I can get a few more suggestions... As of yet I haven't found the backpack that suits me.

    I urge you again to check the example pack I gave in my first posting. I'm really looking for something simple and sleek looking without too many pouches and pockets all over it.
