OK, let me describe this...
Suppose you have a classic case like one from http://www.targus.com/us/cases_notebook_classic.asp , resting on its largest surface.
If you open it all across, you can flip over the top, open the notebook's screen and work on the laptop from the case without taking out the laptop.
OK, I want the same fuctionality from a backpack. That means the backpack will need a... "lateral opening", going across its bottom, its side and its top.
Or, i'd want a classic case capable of being carried like a backpack (two straps on one of its largest sides).
Is there such a thing? A laterally opening backpack or a classic case that I can carry like a backpack? For a 17" laptop, ideally.
(I couldn't find any at http://www.targus.com/us/cases_notebook_backpacks.asp)
Thanks,
Dan

Try Www.Ebags.com and www.semsons.com . If they don't have one it probably doesn't exist.
