    Preferably with room for the PSU, a sandwich and some water, and maybe even a textbook or two.

    Sturdy, of course. Price as low as possible for all the mentioned items.

    A standard mouse for everyday use. I have a wired $15 Microsoft mouse but I want a wireless one I can connect via USB receiver.

    NP8130 is 15.6 inches and approximately 7 pounds, I believe.

    Would a messenger back with a strap (so I can put the strap on my shoulder and have the bag on my side) be a bad idea?

    the 8130 comes with a bag

    for mouse, it depends what size you prefer. The logitech M510 is a nice full sized wireless mouse. Best Buy has them on sale for like $19.99.
