Which model/color did you order? According to their website, several models are still on "pre-order" -- they were supposed to be in this week, but are now expected next week. Not all pages mention the arrival, but check to see if the product you ordered is listed as pre-order or not.
-
Yeah, that's the same one I want, but it's still in "pre-order" status. I need it for travel by the middel of May, so if it doesn't come in by the beginning of next week I'll just get teh gray one, which is (apparently) in stock. Not as sexy as the black, though. [

I was planning on ordering this coming week. I just assumed it was the dimensions listed, and figured that extra half-inch of depth wouldn't be a big deal -- I don't really mind the laptop shifting around inside, I just want to protect it from bumps. But now that you mention the size issue, I'll check it out before ordering.
If I do get one, though, I'll let you know how it fits. I need to get *something* by the middle of the month. -
I'm ordering for my Fujitsu S7011
i think it's 3 cm bigger than my notebook.
I read somewhere that inside of shinza isn't slipery, it will hold the notebook.

Cool. Let me know how it works when you get it -- I'll probably order one this week, unless you say it really sucks. [

Whoa! Thanks for pointing that out. I had just assumed that Shinza manufactured these, but there are a whole bunch available on eBay for the same price. And they're available in black! [8D]
I'm ordering one now, so I'll post when it comes in and let everyone know what I think of it. -

I wrote them 4 emails, they never replied. But when I canceled it. It took few minutes. Looks like they are lazing around. I wouldn't pay them. Worst customer support ever.
Barong, Let me know how much you it for and from where. Thanx.

www.notebookforums.com has people who purchased a Shinza. It is popular on that site. These sleeves come out of Japan.
Also look at www.shorelinecases.com . I am not a big fan of these since the outer cover is prone to scratches and lint.

All right, my zeroshock has arrived, and it does rock. Very soft and cushy -- it feels like one of those tempurpedic mattresses, except firmer. It is covered in a neoprene-like surface, which gives it some extra structure, and speaking of structure, the piping around the edges is actually wire-reinforced, so if you were thinking of crushing the thing down around your notebook for a closer fit, forget it. It does not fit into the case that came with the W3V -- it slides into the pocket, but sticks up about 2 inches out of the top, so you can't close the buckles. Not that that's an issue -- I ordered this for when I don't want to carry the unit in the padded notebook case. The W3V fits perfectly width-wise; there's about 3/4 of an inch extra space at the top, but it doesn't really slip around too much, and even if it did, it wouldn't be a problem. There's a little sleeve inside sized to hold a PCMCIA card.
I'm very happy with the zeroshock, but be forewarned that it needs a pretty big bag to fit it into (there's no carry handle). Also be forewarned: I bought this on ebay from elecom warehouse (because several people here had mentioned problems dealing with shinza); they charged $6.95 for shipping and $2.00 for insurance. The package arrived with $1.42 of postage on it and no insurance. Not that it needs it, but you will be overcharged $7.50 on shipping, raising the price of the sleeve considerably. I'm very happy with it, but would have been even hapier paying $30 instead of $40. -
ah very nice, yea thanks for confirming it would't fit the W3V bag. i did the numbers and figured it wouldn't but i hoped i could sorta just squeeze it in there somehow but with the wire reinforcement, i guess not.
that's just sad when vendors tack on huge shipping costs to make up for the "low" margins. i see so many listings that quote UPS shipping prices but then send it via USPS. i'm not sure what ebay does about it, probably nothing. but i'd have something to say about requiring insurance and then not having the package insured. that's just borderline scamming...
thanks for the review, i'm still thinking about the booq sleeve which is a little more expensive but it just might barely fit the W3V bag which i happen to use on a daily basis. -

I ordered the shinza sleeve for my dell 700m and I love it. I ordered the black without noticing it was backordered but after I recieved an email telling me it would be a few weeks, I simply replied to message and changed my color, and got a silver one in days. It is a great sleeve fitting my notebook perfectly I couldnt be happier and my experience with them was great.
Bad experience with Shinza
