I just ordered my Studio XPS 16 and am looking to get a bag for it and I just had a few questions.
First, does anyone know if it still ships with the the super thin cleaning cloth/protective cover bag thing? I know this is obviously not a case for it, but it would be nice to have.

Second of all, does anyone have any info on (i.e. how heavy, bulky, etc.)/pictures of the Belkin Wilshire Slim bag? How about any of the normal Belkin Shoulder/Sling bags?

Also, I know the Studio Xops has some slightly weird dimensions so I was wondering if anybody knew exactly which sized bags fit it (i.e. 15.4, 15.6, or just 16).

Any other recommendations? I heard that the macbook pro bags fit it well, but any in particular?

I just use the Targus I bought for my old HP ZD8000. The XPS 16 is odd shaped; I've found that sometimes 17" bags fit better.

    Hey!

    I just received my 1640.

Here is the "protective" sleeve/cover it comes covered in. It' is very "thin".

(Sorry, my camera phone didn't take the greatest photo).

Here is a Notebook Case I am using for my 1640, I purchased directly from Dell for $7 (it was a Daily Deal). They are regularly around $14. It fits up to 15.6" and, fits it rather well. I also carry, the 9 cell, (as well as the 6 cell). Dell Link Comes in other colors! :)

For Notebook Cases/Sleeves...check a place like www.meritline.com, for "economical, yet durable sleeves! :) I have purchased a few from there for my Netbook, and my 1530, and will now for my new 1640.

The 1640, also fits into my Synergy by Swiss Gear Back Pack..but it's a bit of "tight fit" I would prefer to use a nice Sleeve to encase it for "extra protection" inside (where it zips). I won't give that b.pack up! It's worked out just awesome! And, with a sleeve, it work great!

Moving to a 15.6" lappyback pack, I think we should be fine..that is what I will look at getting.

    Have you checked this thread?
Cases and bags for the Dell Studio XPS 1340 and 1640

Some great info, ideas/suggestions in there!
Hope that helps! Swiss Gear, Targus, Belkin, Mobile Edge are all great brands!
