My battery is about to die for my VX Revolution so I popped in a fresh AA battery but it didn't work. I looked at the one that came with the mouse and it's a little different from the one I have. They're both 1.5 volt AA batteries but they have a few subtle differences. Does anyone have any experience on the matter? What should I do?

All the batteries that I have tried work. Just use a standard energizer or Duracell AA battery.

I did. I used a standard AA duracell battery but it wouldn't turn on. Then I put the one thats almost dead back in (the one that came with it) and it turns right back on. I don't know whats going on.

Try the battery in other devices, and try more of them. It is possible that you got a dud. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what will.
