    Battery ...

    Tomorrow ill get a new laptop ,so there is no windows -no OS .
    also ill get adapter mouse and so on ...
    So what to do first

    -Take off battery and install windows xp

    or
    -Load battery for long time for first


    and how many hours i have to load this battery (9 cell acmebook- asus i guess)

    I'm not sure I understand your question. Why would you have to take out the battery while installing the OS? Let it charge and run off AC power while loading the OS. No need to pre-charge the battery if the notebook is running on AC. Unless the power adapter isn't strong enough to charge the battery and run the PC at the same time.

    Unless I've missed something, some study that shows it's bad to charge the battery while installing an OS.

    But, AFAIK, installing an OS isn't anything like flashing a BIOS where you must be absolutely sure that your computer doesn't power down mid-stream.

    When you get the laptop, put the battery in and plug it into a power source. Then use it as you want.

    I am not sure if the battery comes charged or not; if it does, then it won't take long to finish charging (it probably will not be full), and if not, then it will take a couple of hours at least; longer if the laptop is on.

    so i can charge battery and install windows xp at same time
    if adapter is good enuf

    I don't know what you mean by good enough... Its never a problem using a laptop while charging.
