So with laptops having non-user-replaceable batteries these days, do companies sell battery banks where you can just plug into it using the AC adaptor? Just like how in phones you have those portable battery banks where you connect by USB and charge it.

Quite so.
Only concern is that most packs are severely limited by their maximum power draw. With most laptops this won't be an issue, but for heavier work-/gamingstations and DTRs they will not do, unless running at power-conservation-mode. This 90W pack is pretty much the maximum, which would make a good solution only if the laptop's adapter is 90W or less. -

These are no substitute for getting the bottom off a notebook and replacing the internal battery once it has substantial wear. I wouldn't buy a notebook where it's not possible to do this. Spare batteries may not be available when the notebook is launched but usually appear after a couple of years when there starts to be a demand for them. Or buy a business-orientated notebooks where battery replacement (even if it involves a screwdriver) is a normal requirement.

Right. Most laptops even though they don't have quick release and instant access batteries can still be replaced by opening up the laptop. Usually a small phillips head screwdriver (and sometimes a pry tool) and 20 minutes of your time is adequate for such a job.
