    i dont know if this is the right forum or whatever but will post and try!! im new!!

    Just got a new laptop, vostro 1500, specs underneath, and am wondering does anyone have any advice, its my first laptop,

    also, found a battery doubler program and am wondering is this any good, does it take from the proformance of the pc or would you notice it at all??

    also, from the same company, the hare program and anti freeze, are these good or do they do any damage??

    You should more than likely steer clear of those programs. The only way to truly get double battery life is to buy a second battery. Besides the built in battery management portions of any OS are more than sufficient for maximizing battery life. Those add on programs are just going to burn additional resources and will eventually slow down your computer while not even adding any real functionality.

    buy a second battery, ideaaly with 9 or even better 12 cells.

    the name doesnt do what it tries...to...? well, i have all of those, from dachshund right?, and the battery doubler doesnt double my battery life, but it did make it longer by a good 30-40 mins. not sure if it will have the same effect, but should be similar. i went from 3 30 to 4 10 on my m1330 with a 6 cell.

    I have it on my vaio sz and it make my battery life 45 minutes longer
