I'm just wondering if this type of bag from Belkin is gender specific towards women only? Reason being is that whenever I see them advertised, most of the photos show a woman using the bag, when maybe just once, I saw a guy in the advertisement using the bag as well.

To the OP - I wouldnt say its gender specific, but it does look like more of a girls bag.
-
If you have to ask, you probably wont be comfortable using it
-
I think it's a matter of opinion. If you feel it looks a little feminine for your tastes, there are hundreds of other cases on the market. But I think it'd look fine if a guy wears it.
-
I dont find it girly at all.. since when did notebook bags become gender specific?
Metrosexual at the very most. -

Seriously though, like what Ravich said, if you have to ask, you probably already know your answer. In my opinion, it doesn't look "girly." Also, yes there are some notebook bags made for women. They usually have different straps that better fit their chest. -
Hello Kitty doesn't make it gender specific.
As for the bag, it looks metrosexual at most. But quite frankly, it doesn't matter what it looks like as long as its functional. Screw what other people think. -
I like the style of this bag, I plan on getting it soon. Does anyone has an experiences or know someone who had any problems with it?

Isn't it funny how a female can carry a bag design for men, but if a man carries a bag design for females, it would look ghey..
Sorta like how a female can look thru the mens underwear department and no one would suspect a thing. But if a man is looking thru a female underwhere department, we better get security on him. haha -
and the whole debate about sexism goes on and on again...
Im actually looking forward to getting this bag aswell. My current bag is slowly falling apart... -
Does it really matter? If you like it, who cares?
For instance, i'm a guy and my favourite colour is pink. I have a pink little carying bag for my mobile phone and a pink wallpaper. Unfortunately i couldn't find a pink laptop case -
Its not gender specific. My gf has owned one for a while and only down side is taht if you over stuff it AT ALL it will begin to tear the strap.
-
Im checking this out today and might actually buy it. Hopefully they still have it in stock

Its not gender specific, its just more focused to entice the female gender from purchasing it.
Female underwear on the other hand, thats gender specific. -
Okay so i went to look for the belking sling again on my lunchbreak but no one had it.
So i ended up purchasing a Belkin 15.4" messenger bag for $40AU. Looks nice, comfortable and sturdy. If anyone wants a review or photos of it let me know. -
ye, i bought one of this too

There is nothing wrong with it!
So, no I don't think it's gender specific.. -
I just realised that sling bag is the exact same bag as the messenger bag! The only difference is the straps instead of the 'sling' .
No it doesnt make you look gay or metrosexual at all. Its actually nice looking and comfortable. -
