Well I started a thread a few weeks back asking for some advice on USB hubs. Then I saw this deal on play.com (UK) £9.99 [$20], price was ok, and considering it was Belkin, I bought it! I have alot of USB devices (2x hdd, sound card, cooler, mouse, keyboard) thats is the main reason for my purchase.
Ordered last Saturday, arrived today. Sorry about the pics, cant resize them, so they are on the bottom of the thread, just click on them!![]()

Quite a sleek design, its brown and is quite small. The AC adapter is actually bigger (a little)than the hub...Its build is ok...the plastic actually looks abit thin, but this was meant for...
The indicator lights, you can just about see a green and a red light from the pictures. The green (4 in total) indicates that a port is in use, and the red one indicates that it has power. The lights actually shines through the thin brown plastic. the white part on the right of the hub is their so called ''cable management'' system/aid, its made from rubber. I really like the idea of the 2 ports on the top, works as advertised. My USB drive works in all four ports.
The AC adapter is just for assisting the hub if something let say, an external hdd that requires 2 ports (power and data) is plugged in, or if multiple power hungery devices are used.
I am so far happy with my purchase, and would recommend this to any one looking for something reasonably priced (well, UK anyway), and from a well know brand. It looks great, works fine, I am happy with it.![]()
Note to all...this is just a quick review, wasn't meant to be amazing or detailed...please excuse spelling mistakes...![]()

Thanks for the review. I have 2 similar Belkin USP hubs only they are 7 port. Everything you say about the 4 port seems to apply except the price, About $30 to $40 depending where you get them, but on our desktops they are worth it. Sounds as if the 4 ports are really great devices.

The 6 ports version cost about $35, the prices on the website i bought it on are pretty good.

Just found this via search - been looking at this hub and (as I have learned), I like to check here before I buy. Thanks Johnny T.
BTW - you gave me some advice on my "What should I buy" thread a week or two ago - I ended up with a 15.4" instead of a 17" and will add a mouse and an extra 19" display.
Belkin USB Plus Hub (4 ports) - First thoughts with a few pics!
