It's time to look into a portable keyboard for my Sony UX's again. I'd expected to keep these only 9 months or so when I got the first of them back in mid-07, but their usefulness combined with the fact that there seems to be no viable replacement has meant I'm still using them, nearly 2 years later - and it looks like with Windows 7 - I've just installed the RC on one of my UX's - I might end up extending their use even a further year or more.
The only thing I really have a problem with on these machines sometimes is the keyboard, and since it looks like I'll be using these for even longer I really need to sort this out.
While the thumbboard is fine for truly portable use, involved notetaking or just generally slightly more involved duties is hopeless on the built-in article.
What I'm looking for is something compact that either folds or is small enough to be carried as is - so it would have to be smaller than e.g. the Apple wireless keyboard, but also has a regular 5-row layout with number keys. I have a Stowaway, but the lack of a number row is what completely kills the usability for me. US layout is fine.
Any suggestions?

Don't know if you can get this over in the UK (probably will though if its available in Australia)

Similar to the Stowaway, but has number keys...
Also the Freedom Universal Keyboard (UK mob you shouldn't have any worries there)

You could take a look at the Brando Keyboards:

The Super Tiny Keyboard looks like the best fit for you, sadly no BT.
Other options are the Logitech DiNovo Mini, but I don't think that you will be able to type that much better on it.
Or a better foldable keyboard, just as geekygirl posted.
Or, if you're a bit venturous, then you can also take a look at the FrogPad (a few images are broken; at the end of the thread I posted a further review about the USB versions), probably the most portable keyboard with which you can still touch type and reach a high typing speed, sadly it has a few quirks, is expensive and you have to learn something completely new. -
I got curious with that Logitech link - and found a "diNovo Mini" on Amazon -

That is meant for portable use - no idea how good/bad it is though, haven't seen it in person either.
Here is the manufacturer link - its tiny...

This seems to be very portable:

only if they aren't so darn expensive... -_-'

The Freedom Universal looks like the only real option out of these. I'm going to give it a try. Thanks.

Best *really* compact bluetooth keyboard?
