Should I get normal wireless, or bluetooth? My laptop has bluetooth built in...so theoretically I wouldn't need a bluetooth dongle, right? What's the best mouse for me to get? I want the cheapest, most portable (good battery life), and good for gaming mouse. Thanks!!

If you have a built-in BT module, you won't need an external dongle. I have a logitech v270 and while I don't use it ALL the time, I haven't changed the batteries yet (bought it in August) I really like it; it's smaller than a normal mouse slightly, but bigger than a travel mouse. It doesn't have any "special" buttons and might not be the best mouse for gaming (but it works fine for my CS/other gaming soirees.)

I believe that Razer makes some pretty fancy mice.

I have a Logitech wireless optical mouse and a Logitech bluetooth v270 as well. Both are excellent mice but I prefer the Bluetooth just because I don't need a little usb dongle :)

I use either while gaming, and they are both pretty sensitive and don't lag.

Which color should I get to match my new HP dv6000t? The Silver of the Charcoal? There are some pics of my laptop in the review on this site if you dont know what it looks like. I'm thinking the silver will match best, but I dunno. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you have internal BT, then getting a BT mouse increases your cool factor. These days, battery consumption on BT mice have improved...so go ahead and choose a mouse that you like, regardless of USB or BT. Remember that USB mice always need the USB dongle.

Is it possible to use a bluetooth mouse and have the laptop connect to the cellphone over bluetooth at the same time? or does bluetooth connect to one device at a time only?

For curiosity's sake I attempted to connect with multiple Bluetooth signals. My Razr V3 and Garmin Mobile10 Bluetooth GPS are both connected at the same time. When i first set up my Garmin I had to establish a serial com port for the Bluetooth. I noticed an available 5 serial com ports, so one would assume you can have 5 streams. Of important note, my Garmin requires an incoming and outgoing stream, and uses serial com ports 4 and 5. I don't assume most others require an in and out stream, because in most cases communication is 1 direction at a time, where the GPS sends signal in from the satellite, and a locater beacon out to the satellite continuously and simultaneously.

Yep, that rebate pulled me right in, but the offer ended 3/12. You can still buy two Logitech products, and one of them will be 50% off with another rebate.

To answer an earlier question, bluetooth can allow for a total of 8 devices to be connected together and this is including the host device.

Um, I thought I'd replied, my bad.

I'm not real impressed with the Logitech mice anymore. The VX I've received, it fits my hand nice, it is a little smaller, maybe 5-6% than a typical mouse.

I disliked M$ mice because of the cheap ass glides on them. The last Logi mice I have, have the same polypropylene glides. Just like pushing a brick around. I thought previous Logitech mice, anyway the older ones I have, had more of a Teflon based glide.

I've got old corded branded ones that look like Logi-s. But I've peeled and reused the glides off 'em.

If you didn't see my thread USA, hold off for a bit. Well only if you care enough :)

I got a Razer DeathAdder. OK, I admit some of it was advertising for a relatively new mouse, the other due to esreality (are they neutral?)

Hoping to also get a VX Revolution with its scroll wheel for those long web browsing sessions. And when I actually do work for my degree :D
