I got a high sierra access backpack....but haven't gotten it yet. Perhaps I'll do a review when it comes.

there's also the Targus XL notebook backpack and the STM large loop backpack that have gotten decent reviews. I've only seen and tried on the XL at BestBuy (which has nothing that is a Best Buy).

I got that Dell one free from dell (long story lol). But I like it, exceot it cant hold too many text books and stuff of that size once its all loaded up. Nice bag all the same though.

The best bags that you could get is the Tom Bihn bags. They are the top of the line. Hand stiched up in Seattle. These bags are not cheap. Another great bag that Im thinking about getting is the Pakuma bags. The k3 will fit your 17inch screen. If you don't want to spend a whole lot on bags then I would reccomend the mobile edge. I think dell sells em but you can find em on ebags. Right now the Pakuma bags are only sold in the UK but I emailed them and they said you could get the bags sometime in August. I think the Pakuma bags are the best looking bags you can get. If you have a bag you like already and just need protection I reccomend getting the Tom Bihn sleeves. Lots of protection. Goto their website and check their stuff out. Well best of luck. Be well!

those bihn bags are nice, but a little on the ugly side if u ask me.. My friend has a swiss army backpack for his 15.4 inch, i Really like how that one looks, especially in the darker colors, its Sweet. Too bad i dont think they make one that can accomidate a 17 inch.. hmm ill keep looking around, keep the suggestions coming! btw, does the "water-proof" layer in these backpacks keep out enough water for someone to walk to say a class in the rain with it?

I have the Targus XL and it's a really great packpack. Solid, good on your back and with lots of space and polstering to protect your laptop.

Thats the brand I use. I spent ~$60 @compusa and the bag fits my 15.4 all the accessories and cd cases and my school books for the day without having a fat backpack on my back. It is quite decieving that a low profiel bag could be so heavey :)

I think it can be better. If you want your laptop to be stolen thats a perfect bag. Just looking at that bag you can tell theres a laptop in there. One its black, and it looks square. I want look for a more urban style of backpack like the Pakuma, Mobile Edge or the Ogios. I wouldn't really reccomend those bags. Also don't forget about the Tom Bihn Bags. Be Well!

I like this one better: Python XL. If you're small you might find it a bit big, but all the 17 inch bags are. This has awesome build quality and lots of pockets. I love pockets. A bit pricey, but so is your laptop.

So far i think the winner is the Python XL.. Its expensive as hell, but man thats a nice bag! Looks great, has tons of pockets, great protection and looks like it would be very comfortable even with a lot of weight(which ill have). I guess yea, it says "im expensive" but u know what, ill just have to make sure that i keep track of it and make sure no one takes the thing lol. Why does it have to be $220..
