Hey
Im looking for audiophile quality 2.1 speakers for my Asus A8Js laptop with a price at about $100.
Any ideas?
-
err... not quite audiophile...
but this are the popular 2.1 speaker: logitech z2300?
the sound is quite clear and good... hooked to a good source it could create clear and crisp sound.. -
I second the z2300. They're nice. My parents use them with their DVD player.
-
Swan M10, for around that price, if you can find them where you live ..
-
klipsch 2.1 and harmon kardon sound sticks are both under $100 and pretty decent for its price. i'm sure you can do a little better but probably not much unless you're willing to up the budget.

Have a look at Klipsch ProMedia GMX A-2.1
-
Oh no! not audiophile quality for $100. try pushing it a little higher

Creative Gigaworks T20. Although it is only 2.0 (not 2.1), it actually sounds better than most 2.1 setups.

If you can find the T40's for cheap, that's also a good option. -
i got a altec lansing 5.1 setup which sounds AWESOME! for 49.99, but the sub takes alot of space and there are alot of efffing wires, but behind my desk you cant see them anyways.
if you have room I would suggest it! -
I just got the Creative Gigaworks T40, awesome audiophile-like sound.
There 2.0 but you would be convinced they had a sub if you closed your eyes and guessed. Great speakers. Check them...

If you want audiophile... then add about two more zero's to that figure then come back. As for a good sounding 2.1 system, I'd go with klipsch pro media, they're a good cheap set of speakers, really impressive considering the price.

thanks for all the input
i finally went for the sonic gear evo 7 which sound pretty good and are seriously the bang for the buck -
Creative Gigaworks T20 or 40 is good, like the guy said. I use the T10 and frankly the bass is only slightly different from my Logitech 2.1s.
-
Yeah... Creative! Good 2.1 speakers range!
-
I have logitech Z4 speakers, great sub, sexy speakers and awesome sound . Comes in ipod white color too

Why would anybody spend $100 on 2.1 speakers. Your never going to get Audiophile sound out of 2.1 speakers I dont care how good they are. Im more of a 5.1/7.1 or nothing kinda guy.
