I'm looking to buy a new monitor to hook up to my laptop when I'm at home. Money is not really an issue.
22-26", 1080p, good colors, and everything else that makes a monitory awesome :) no 3D ready though

Also want to get a nice pair of speakers with a subwoofer. Was looking at the Corsair SP2500: Gaming Audio Series
    Any opinions on this?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
A highly regarded gaming monitor would be the BenQ XL2420TE. It comes with a 1ms response time and a blazing 144Hz refresh rate, accounting for a super smooth experience for both gaming and videos. It is also 3D ready, but you do not have to use it.
The Asus VG248 is also known to be a great gaming monitor for the same reason I stated previously. The main difference with the BenQ monitor is it's price (cheaper) and arguably the quality. There is plenty of review comparing those two monitors, feel free to google it.
It is also a widely known fact that the best picture quality will come on IPS panels, although they usually have a worse response time which makes them less suitable for gaming purpose.

For the speakers, I believe you would get a better experience with some high-end gaming headphones but if you need speakers, the SP2500 are very good and very appreciated. Then again they are pretty expensive. You might want to look into the Logitech Z623 for a good and cheaper alternative.

    EDIT: Added the Asus monitor.

Thanks, I ended up going with the BenQ XL2420T, which has 2ms response and 120Hz refresh rate. So far I'm loving it!

    Also, loving the SP2500's :)
