Title says it all. I'm looking to get a 23" monitor and looking to spend around $150. What's the best option for that size/price?
Thanks!

This is known to be a great and reliable monitor for the price:

Well an LED monitor is simply an LCD with an LED backlight instead of a CCFL. WLED sucks and CCFL is actually better in most cases. RGB LED is where it's at for color gamut but that is out of your budget. The Asus shown is a TN panel and although these are not as good as VA panels in terms of viewing angles, contrast, and color, they are priced nicely and have fast response times. I think you would need to bring your budget up a bit if you want a VA panel.

I found a few 21" LED monitors for around $150. Would you suggest one of those over 23" LCD monitor?

Which models? If they are TN panels then no, I would get the Asus.

This is the model I was looking at:
Hannspree SL231DPB 23 Class Widescreen LED Backlit HD Monitor - 1920 x 1080, 16:9, 8000000:1 Dynamic, 1000:1 Native, 5ms, DVI, VGA, Energy Star at TigerDirect.com
It seems legit, especially by the reviews. What do you think? -
It's a TN panel as well. Based on pure specs, the Asus is brighter, has the same contrast ratio, and is a bit faster at 2ms. But that can't really tell us too much. I haven't had much luck finding some nice reviews on these monitors but I'd say the Hannspree has to be of about the same quality.

OK, thanks. I think I'm gonna get the Asus then.
One other random question (didn't want to start a new thread):
This IS a really good SSD, right? Because it has a crazy price drop that would ordinarily make me think otherwise. Crucial CT512M4SSD2 m4 2.5 Solid State Drive - 512GB, SATA 6Gb/s at TigerDirect.com -
Cool, let me know how that works for you if you can get the chance.
Yeah it's a great and reliable drive. The random speeds could be a bit faster but it's usually a boss at sequential speeds. I paid $400 for my 256GB drive last year
Best 23" Monitor around $150?
