I just bought a USB Bluetooth dongle and I've found that I dont use it as often as I should because of the inconvenience of having to plug it in all the time. Additionally, I've found when I'm on my laptop in bed or moving it around, I'm worried about the dongle breaking off.

So a pcmcia is probably my best bet, and I'm looking for peoples experience with different card. If you could tell me how much you paid, where you got it, etc that would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Have you found a solution yet? I came across your thread searching for the best pcmcia bluetooth card. I'm especially interested in one that is flush with the side of the laptop, if one exists. Any ideas?

I asked a similiar question like this a few days ago and was recommended Belkin as a general brand to buy from but no specific model...

Apparently for ones sitting flush with the casing, you want the 3COM PCMCIA adapter for bluetooth.

It has a popout antenna that sticks out pretty far, but when it is pushed in it sits flush with the adapter and laptop. I'm still looking for one at a cheap price....

I have the 3COM Bluetooth card is it very good.
It has 2 modes, one sits flush with the case of the laptop, the other one pops out the anntenae for greater coverage.

Software is average, but it works with all my phones.
The only bad thing is that it has a led which flashes all the time.
    Recommended.
