Hey guys. Just had a quick question. I recently purchased a hp dv9500t (Core 2 Duo @ 2.0 GHz; 2 GB of RAM; 8600M GS; 17" 1680x1050) and I want to keep it as cool as possible. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what the best Laptop Cooler would be for this?

    I saw this on Newegg...
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834982004

But this was 13 bucks at RadioShack today haha....

I really don't care about price, as long as it's a quality item that gets the job done.

I'm also looking for a nice wireless notebook mouse? Any suggestions? Thank you!

check out the coolermaster notepal w1... it's about the same as the lian ling thingymabob

if you do gaming don't get a wireless mouse. If you must, check out the microsoft ergonomic ones, they feel very good

DO NOT recommend Cooler Master NotePAL W1.... it has a major design flaw that has yet to be improved.
    - the stage is not deep enough to properly support most notebooks... so the notebooks will tilt back due to weight, which can and HAS caused chassis damage.

Definitely the best 17" notebook cooler to date is the Zalman ZM-NC1000.... its design is patented for giving constant airflow to the ENTIRE stage.

I have tested and owned over 15 coolers.... most were not up to par at all.... only the Zalman impressed me.

I like passive coolers. I'm quite pleased with my Koolsink.com XL cooler for my 17" hp dv9500t. Lowered temps several degrees, no moving parts, solid piece of aluminum, looks nice and functional too. :)

Thanks for the help guys. I think I'm going to get the Zalman from ZipZoomFly. Now as far as the wireless mouse goes... Any recommendations? Is there even such a thing as a good wireless gaming mouse? I'm not planning on doing a lot of gaming on this laptop, but I know the 8600m can handle the latest games at medium settings so...

Get the G7 and the Zalman, both work great.

I'll second the Zalman NC1000, it's the best cooler available for 17" notebooks because as Gophn said, it covers the entire underside. Many coolers only cover small areas which is fine for smaller notebooks, but on something as large as a 17" you want a cooler that cools a wide area.

I read in newegg reviews that even on the zalman cooler a 17in widescreen will hang on the edges
