What is it? I don't really care much for gaming or LED lights or customizable buttons. I'm talking about pure tactile responsiveness and ability to type quickly.

In my opinion, Microsoft makes the best keyboards on the planet but, that's my opinion. Remember whether or not you like a keyboard is very much personal prefferrence.

I love the Logitech DiNovo Edge - bluetooth. You can get it with or without mouse pad. It works up to 30ft away.

I've always had Logitech. I agree @D1330HI but that keyboard is pretty expensive. I think the cheapest I've ever seen was $99. But I have the combo MX3200.

i have the wireless Logitech MX3200 keyboard and mouse combo. it's smaller and more compact (compared to my old MX Duo), wrist pad feels great, mouse is of a decent size and ergonomic feel and battery life is excellent (more than a year for keyboard and up to 3 months for mouse). receiver plugs into receiver and is about the size of a flash drive

although if you want the quickest response, a wired keyboard may be better for you

That would mean you would want a mechanical keyboard, I would say take a look at Das Keyboard 2 and Steelseries G7

IBM Model M keyboard > all other keyboards haha.

In all seriousness it really depends. If you want the tactile response, you are going to want spring buckle such as the IBM Model M

I agree. You kinda have to go to your newest computer store (something like Frys/Circuit City/Best Buy) and feel each and one of them. You might even want to buy the one that you like and give it a shot and return it later to shop for a better deal online. This is an important decision since the keyboard will be a huge part of the computer.

Best key feedback I have ever had the pleasure of using is my Saiktek Gamers keyboard, I think there is going to be better out there like the Das Keyboard but it will cost you much much more so in a price vs performance comparison the Saiktek wins by a large margin for me. I got it for $40 but it seems to go for like $70 so shop around. I would imagine the Eclipse is the same keyboard minus the programmable keypad.

Its over 2 years old and still works as if it were new.
