    Hi Everyone,

Out of the group of headphones below, which would be ideal for an electronic music artist and gamer?

I'm on my laptop ALOT so I'd need something comfortable since my crap pair of 30$ SENNHEISER are pressing steel against my ears causing me massive pain (I can barely hear as I'm typing this b/c they're so bad! lol)

I would prefer a budget around 75$-ish so here's my list:

    Quote:
    SteelSeries
    Siberia Full-size Headphones White
    $59.99

    Plantronics (mic included)
GameCom 777 Surround Sound Gaming Headset
    $79.99

    Sony Canada
    MDRNC7B Foldable Noise Cancelling Headphones
    $79.99

    Sony Canada
MDRD333LWS Headphones with Retractable Cord and Ambient Sound-In Diaphragm
    $79.99

    Philips
Premium Full Size Active Noise Canceling Headphones with Travel Case
    $96.99

    Sony
    MDRV500DJ Studio Monitor Series Headphones
    $85.99
    Thanks

Note: I selected these choices from the Dell website since I have a partial credit that I would like to use towards one of these.

sennheiser HD515 or HD555 are the only ones i could recommend on that website. i dont know anything much about the others you listed, but i dont like sonys and gaming headsets arent very nice for music, plus theres better for the same money.

I recommend the Plantronics GameCom 777. I used to have the stereo version, the 377. It was extremely comfortable and sound quality was great. I only stopped using it after I won a Razer Carcharias headset for free. :p

I reccomend the Audio Technica ATH-M50S. They are within your budget and have amazing sound and bass for the price.

I sincerely apologize, Voodooi, I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I didn't want to have to start a whole new one. If I have money for the Logitech G35's which I have used before and loved, should I get those or the Razer Cacharias for gaming? My sister sat on and broke my G35's that my girlfriend got me and has offered to get me a new pair.

I'd say commit $20 more than the more expensive sets there for the Logitech G35. It's a great all-rounder Does a pretty decent job in stereo mode for music, does a great job in 7.1 for games. It's fairly comfy and acoustically isolated, unlike many gaming phones (some people prefer open but I prefer to 'get into the game'). Mic pickup is good, and you don't have to deal with a truly janky Zalman mic hanging down from your probably-inferior head phone that the nerdophiles told you would be better.

If youre truly only looking for headphones, I'd say something like the Sennheiser HD280 (once again around $110CAD if you shop around) would be an excellent monitor for electronic music. It's also usable for gaming, but for gaming audio I'd still recommend the G35, which will walk all over the HD280 in that regard.

You just have to decide which is your priority.
