My older logitech headset that I got from a relative just died today. Well, the mic did. I took it apart to see what went wrong and it seems as though the wire that goes into the mic had severed. Probably from so much turning in circles or w/e. But anyways, I'm looking for a new one. Doesn't matter what shape, I have a semi big head if that makes a difference. And I will be using this to play games like Counter strike. Worse comes to worse the sound quality is bad, I can just use an audio splitter and use my very nice earbuds under the headset.

I have the Sennheiser PC150s - they are great for the money. You can find them for around $35 - $40. Newegg.com has them for $35 but they are out of stock right now.

What I like about the PC150s is that they are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, they have solid sound quality, decent bass, and the microphone is excellent.

I use a Plantronics .Audio 350, they are pretty good sound wise, although they do have square earpads, I know really weird. They take some getting use to, but are pretty comfortable and lightweight.

I would also recommend the Plantronics .Audio 350. Good sound, and should fit your budget comfortably.

I too vote for this headset. A few of my friends have it and love it. I've tried it myself and its very comfortable. I'll be picking one up when I find it on sale or with a rebate. Yeah, I'm too cheap to spend 35 (approx 37-38 w/ tax) on a headset.
