Hey guys/gals, what is your favorite (and available in Canada!) lapdesk for couch gaming, assuming a 15 inch laptop???
Thx!

hey, i saw this one at beth bath and beyond the other day and looks pretty cool, plus i like the fact that it folds to a flat piece for easy storage and I like the fact it has a place for your mouse pad.

I was gonnna buy it for 19.99 at the store (same price online) but I didnt.. althougth I just got a 20% from them in the mail so I might just go and get it.
Watch the demo, it shows pretty much everything about it -
I found the type below, seem to work the best ! Also sit a Zalman 2000 cooler on top of the lapdesk . Comfortable and gpu never goes above 50c ,under heavy loads !

ikea's is functional. not the prettiest and plastic but it works.

I currently have the IKEA one. It works nicely, very comfortable. Only downside is the comfortable padding, it's nice and warm for the manly parts. After few hours it's just warm.
I'm planning to upgrade to Logitech N700:

Thanks, I'd appreciate that man.

My friend has one of those, Sobek, and Lights. I have used it with my 17'' Laptop in my sig. It was hanging off the side just a little bit, but wasn't noticeable and worked perfectly. So, your 15'' Laptops should be fine. Be aware, the built-in mouse pad might catch lint and hair and actually makes small notebook mice unusable. I ended up using his Logitech G9 and it was perfect. I wouldn't mind getting one and taking out the built-in mouse pad and fitting a nicer one in like a Razer.

thanx tear... i havent been able to try mine yet, but i wasnt expecting to play with my mouse on that pad per say...soft cloth pads are not good for laser mice, and i have also have a logitech g9..i willl place my mouse pad over the cloth one for sure

I love the Belkin Cush Top. It's very sturdy. Don't let the name fool you, it is not cushy, but very comfortable. A lot of retailers carry it so you can check it out in person. I also use it on my coffee table to raise it up. Nothing slips except the mouse.
Made of high-quality, furniture-like upholstery, the CushTop provides increased padded comfort for laptop users. A convenient storage pocket keeps your power adapter and mouse tucked away. By flipping its platform over, the CushTop can accommodate small or large laptops. It is available in three contemporary colors: silver, orange, and green.

Edit: I don't know how it would work for gaming but others looking at this may find the info. useful. -
Are there any out there for a giant 17" notebook like mine?
-
-
anyone know where can i find these in australia?
-
I like the fact it has a little reading light attatched to the table, it just takes 2 AA batteries..
for $19.99 + 20% discount cant beat it...plus my laptop gets really hot if I just place it on the bed cuz of the vent location so this was a must -
-
I bought and use this one for bed, floor for a 17" laptop and so far it's been great. Not sure about the couch use.

As the reviews have mentioned it could use locking legs and I would like some kind of latch on the drawer to keep it closed when moving it around.
The My Place from Beyond looks like the exact same thing just a little smaller and much cheaper price. I might just by one to keep downstairs. -
haah yeah it looks like the same design as the my place one....at 19.99 plus the 20% coupon tho you cant beat it...
The wood one does look more sturdy tho, nice find. -
cheers ... -
Here are a couple of different ones I have been keeping my eye on. I like the wood ones as they seem like they would be more sturdy. What do yo guys think of these? I wish there was a local store selling them so I could see the quality (or lack of) before buying one.

Any suggestions for one that would fit a 17' notebook?

i am glad i saw this thread. i am looking at one, also. lots of good ideas.

I use the outside of an old dresser drawer with the handles cut off. Works great!

I ended up buying the one from the OP, My Place Lap Workstation. It works very well for my laptop (in sig) although I do not use the provided mouse pad and just center up my laptop. I also don't prop it. All in all, for 16 bucks (after 5 dollar coupon) at Bed Bath and Beyond it was worth it.

Thanks.
