What is the best logitech mouse for laptops nowadays? Please don't recommend the ones with Darkfield Laser Technology since the middle click (depressing the mouse wheel) of those have very poor and unstable responses.

    TIA :)

I use the Logitech VX Nano almost daily with my laptop and it is absolutely beautiful. It has been going strong for several years without a single problem. The newer version of it is the Anywhere Mouse MX (I think), which I would recommend to just about anyone. :p For an ergonomic shape, I guess the Performance Mouse MX makes sense. And for gaming, the G700... have you considered other manufacturers?

Huh? Logitech mice don't have a traditional middle click. The scroll wheel simply depresses to swap between ratcheted scrolling and free-scrolling. And I must say, I love it. :)

I'm still using the Logitech V220, honestly, unless you are using it for gaming then you should stick with something basic, I've heard great reception from people using the Logetich M305 as well. I'm not sure if that's the Darkfield one or not? I really don't go through mice like that...

So you don't want the Darkfield technology because you don't like the mice's middle click? The best Logitech mouse for a mobile solution IMO is the Anywhere Mouse MX, but that uses the Darkfield technology. Never really had any issues when I press the scroll button, if you do, then you can always change its function.

I like my Marathon Mouse M705. The scroll wheel is a button (not swapping the to/from hyperscroll), it is comfortable for large hands and uses the unifying receiver.

I have also used the VX Nano (great mouse but to small for my hands), VX Revolution (favourite until the M705), MX1100 and MX950 (nice big mice for large hands, similar shapes, both very good but the MX950 wins because of the unifying receiver).

VX Nano gets my vote for "laptop" mouse if you mean small & portable when you ask for laptop.

But in the order of full size mouse that many of us use for laptops the G700 is the top of the line gaming grade mouse that has pretty good feedback.

I had a Marathon Mouse M705 also before and the problem with the scroll wheel middle click is also present. It seems to be a problem for all Logitech mice with the hyperscroll feature. I opted to get the new Logitech M515 Couch Mouse which has the middle click as a button just right below the scroll wheel.
