Im planning to buy a gaming mouse for my laptop.
Tell me which is the best
    Logitech G5
    Logitech G7(wireless)
Logitech VX(not sure if its 2000 dpi)
    Razer Gatorhead
    Microsoft Habu
    Genius Navigater 535

All mice are Laser tracking 2000 dpi
The G7 is wireless, although not sure whether a wireless is as comfortable as a wired.
    Guys please advise me.
Advise me the best dont worry about the price, just say which is the best.

well, I'd say it would be either the G5 or the VX.
the G7 is basically the G5 but wireless.
for gaimg I'd say wireless is not always a good thing.
there are times when you signal drops and it cost you in the game you are playing, but some people still like it for the convenience of no wires to be hassled with.
I'm not sure which is better, the G5 or the Vx ,though I'm pretty sure the G5 is cheaper, yet it gets raved about more than the VX in my experience. Which brings the question.

here's wishing you the best of luck in your search for the holy grail of gaming mice.

    I have a Logitech G5 and I love it.

2000dpi is great for getting headshots or sensitive movements. In windows you can move across your screen without barely moving the mouse or you can turn down the dpi to whatever you like using Logitech software.

    Great mouse.

I just bought a G5 through newegg (~$49 shipped), on the recommendation of my friend who has one and loves the on-the-fly resolution changes as well as the weighting. I personally dislike wireless on input devices, as it drops and lags too often, especially with more and more wireless devices coming into use every day.

I've got a VX Revolution and have used it for BF2, Oblivion, SupCom and a few other games and it's worked out great. Could definitely recommend it.

I've used the Logitech G5 in the past. And its performed flawlessly. The only reservation I have about the G7 is that there might be a few breaks or interruptions since its wireless, as mentioned above.

the best mouse is the one that fits comfortably in ur hand. DPi means nothing if ur hand gets cramps or such.
But the best performanace is not necessarily in the mouse itself but what the mouse sits on.
Get a Razer gaming mouse pad and you'll notice a huge difference. I sure did!

Razer had a great package deal on their oversized Mantis mouse pads. You could get both (Speed and Control) for $24.95. I got mine about a week ago, so check Razer's site to see if they're still offering this package. I'm using the Mantis Speed pad with my Razer Diamondback and the performance is excellent.

I would go with the G7, I love it. Wireless and you don't need to worry about running out of batteries.

This is definitely a very important aspect in choosing the right mouse. Don't overlook the way it fits in your hand.

I have the ExactMat...which is awesome and I paid about $30 for it.

I own both the Razer Copperhead and the Logitech G7. Both are awesome. If you're going to be taking it around a lot...the wired Copperhead is better because it's simply than taking all the pieces with you. So I keep the G7 on my desk and the Copperhead in my bag.

I was working on a comparison review of the two a while back but haven't had the chance to finalize and get it published here yet. I'll try to do that as soon as possible.

I'll third the comments on "the one that feels the best." Comfort will do more for you than gimmicks.
Personally, I've got a G5 and it works great.

You honestly shouldn't use a mousepad with a laser mouse on a surface.

Lasers aren't like optical. They run on any surface. I find a smooth black wood, or glass, makes lasers glide.

Just because you don't have to doesn't mean that you shouldn't. You can scratch up a nice desk very quickly without a mousepad, and it can wear down the pads on the mouse prematurely. They do run on any surface, and quite reliably, but I still always recommend a mousepad for good performance.

Any decent mousepad or surface will do, focus more on the mouse than the mouse pad. A good mouse should run smoothly anywhere.

I love my G5 and wouldn't use anything else.

    I have new choices now
Its either the Microsoft Habu or the Razer DeathHadder

the deathhadder has infrared technology, which is the best in tracking technology
Lazer technology fails at low sesitivities
